A stunning and popular cultivar of Pothos, celebrated for its highly variegated, heart-shaped leaves that are predominantly white or cream with delicate green marbling. It is a fast-growing, trailing vine that adds a bright, elegant, and airy feel to any indoor space.

I am a highly variegated cultivar of the common Pothos (Epipremnum aureum), prized for my spectacular foliage.

My most iconic feature is my leaves, which are mostly white or creamy-yellow with beautiful, painterly splashes and streaks of light green. The variegation is more extensive and whiter than my close relative, the 'Marble Queen.'

I have a trailing or climbing growth habit, with stems that can grow several feet long.

My variegation is not stable; it can revert to greener growth if light conditions are poor. Pruning back green stems encourages the white-variegated growth.

I am a cultivated variety, with the parent species (Epipremnum aureum) native to French Polynesia.

I prefer to dry out slightly between waterings. Water me when the top 1-2 inches of soil feel dry.

I am sensitive to overwatering, which can lead to root rot. Ensure my pot has good drainage.

My highly variegated leaves contain less chlorophyll, so my growth can be slightly slower than all-green pothos, meaning I may need slightly less water.

I tolerate average indoor humidity well but appreciate occasional misting.

Light is the key to my beauty! I require bright, indirect light to maintain my stunning white variegation and prevent reverting to solid green.

I can tolerate medium indirect light, but my new growth may become more green than white.

Low light will cause my variegation to fade and my stems to become leggy as I stretch for light. I will also lose my vibrant appearance.

Avoid direct harsh sun, which can scorch my delicate, lightly pigmented leaves. An east or north-facing window is perfect.

I prefer warm, stable temperatures between 18°C and 27°C.

I am sensitive to cold drafts and temperatures below 13°C.

I am grown exclusively as a houseplant in temperate climates (USDA zones 10-12 if outdoors in a shaded, protected spot).

I am a gorgeous hanging basket or shelf plant where my trailing, variegated vines can be displayed.

Use a well-draining, all-purpose potting mix.

I can be trained up a moss pole or trellis for a vertical display. Pinch back the tips to encourage bushier growth.

To maintain maximum variegation, prune back any stems that produce mostly or entirely green leaves.

Feed me monthly during the growing season (spring and summer) with a balanced, diluted liquid fertilizer.

Reduce or stop feeding in fall and winter when growth slows.

Over-fertilizing can damage my roots and may encourage excessive green growth.

Scientific Name: Epipremnum aureum 'Snow Queen' (often considered a highly variegated form of 'Marble Queen')

Common Names: Snow Queen Pothos, White Variegated Pothos

Plant Family: Araceae

Plant Type: Evergreen trailing or climbing vine

I contain insoluble calcium oxalate crystals, like all Pothos and Philodendrons. If chewed or ingested by pets or humans, I can cause oral irritation, pain, swelling, drooling, vomiting, and difficulty swallowing. Keep me out of reach.

I am an excellent air purifier, effective at removing common indoor pollutants like formaldehyde, benzene, and xylene, as noted in studies.
